How does the motivation of a leader most notably affect his/her leadership style? Why? How does the motivation of a follower most commonly affect his/her ability to be led? Why?

Performance excellence requires individuals to function in various roles including the role of leadership. Understanding theories and methods of leadership helps improve effectiveness when operating in the leadership role. How will the topics addressed in this course influence your personal performance as you function in the role of the leader? Explain.
